Does science spoil coconut oil?

Does science spoil coconut oil?. There HAS been an increase in coconut oil’s health benefits but the thought of a walking it in its natural state is not that appealing to me, plus it reminds me of that ever fattening old school staple: LARD. I do use it for my hair and recently saw its great for cuticles in addition to its other beauty benefits. Good information. Thanks!
